"How do I clone a java bean object?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-07 09:22:12

I have a java bean object that I want to clone. I already use XMLEncoder to save its data to a file -- to implement save functionality in the program. I thought about using (or abusing) XML encoder to create a clone of the same class. Essentially. I would XML Encode the object to a bytearray and then XMLdecode it back as another instance of the object. Another alternative would be to use the serializable interface to copy the object. But I figure that there must be a better solution even though the case is rare and will not create a performance problem. I know that there is a method in an apache common beanutils class which does clone bean objects. I could use that but I do not want to include an additional library for such as simple task (this is for an assignment and submitting an extra package will be akward). Anyway. I figure that cloning java beans is done all the time and there must be a way to do this. I am using java 6.

"Heat" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 23:22:11

An object’s kinetic energy can be classified as internal or external. For example a falling create verbally has a certain external kinetic energy that is related to its overall mass and to its velocity as it falls. The create verbally is also composed of particles that desire all particles are moving in a random way independent of the overall communicate (or lay) of the coin. The particles in the create verbally are constantly moving colliding changing direction and changing their velocities. The energy associated with this internal communicate is internal kinetic energy (Figure 1). Heat is a general call that represents the amount of internal kinetic energy an object contains.  The internal kinetic energy of an object can be increased by putting it in communicate with another object at a higher. Temperature is proportional the average internal kinetic energy of an object so higher temperature means a greater average internal energy for the particles within the object. The particles in a higher-temperature object collide with other particles with greater add up force than the particles of a lower-temperature object. Thus collisions between the particles of two objects at different temperatures cause the particles of the lower-temperature object to speed up increasing the object’s energy and cause the particles of the higher-temperature object to slow down decreasing this object’s energy. In this way energy is transferred from the higher-temperature object to the lower-temperature object. We label energy that is transferred in this way heat. The energy that is transferred through an object as from the furnish of a cooking pan to its handle is also called heat. Heat is the energy that is transferred from a region of higher temperature to a region of lower temperature as a consequence of the collisions of particles (evaluate 2).
